Watercolor and Ink
2020- present
What began as gestural studies, these watercolor and ink paintings slowly grew into a study of the body as form. Marks became more bold, expressive, and memorable, which gave way to more bodies (sometimes even headless) finding ways to connect. Many of the watercolor works let the figure stand alone on a stark white or muddied background, while the inks bleed into each other, reminding us of the temporary nature of all things.
